Mid-size strollers are not so heavy that they’re difficult to get around, but they’re not either so small that they’re missing those important features you want on your stroller. The Dragonfly, the Cruz and the Hub are all great mid-size stroller options.
Bugaboo Dragonfly
The Dragonfly is the newest stroller from Bugaboo! When compared to Bugaboo’s other strollers, the Dragonfly is the perfect in-between option, giving you the best of both. The Dragonfly has a bigger basket than the Hub, but a smaller one than the Cruz. Both the Dragonfly, Hub, and Cruz each come with a reversible seat so that the baby can face either you or the world. The Dragonfly weighs just 17.4 pounds (that’s 21.8 pounds with the bassinet), and it costs 1,099.00, including the bassinet. It can hold up to 22 pounds in the storage basket.
UPPAbaby Cruz
The UPPAbaby Cruz is another great option. This stroller has really big wheels, and incredible performance over rough terrain. It weighs 25.5 pounds, so it’s not as compact and lightweight as the Dragonfly, but it’s definitely a classic mid-size stroller that people have been using for years, and are generally very happy with. The seat is very spacious. The basket on the Cruz is spacious, and can hold up to 30 pounds. The Cruz is priced at an economical $899.98.
Joolz Hub
The Joolz Hub+ has a bassinet sold separately. It’s the most affordable of all the different strollers. It's a little more padded and comfy, and doesn’t have as large of a fold as the UPPAbaby Cruz. And - ever heard this? - if you buy one of their strollers, they plant a tree for your baby in the Joolz Birth Forest in South America. Joolz Hub materials are free from toxic chemicals and the stroller is fully REACH certified, and even the packaging is reusable - the cardboard can be crafted into a charming deer, birdhouses, and even a lamp. The basket on the Joolz Hub+ is not as big as the one on the Dragonfly and the one on the Cruz, although it’s definitely a decent size and contributes to the sleek Hub+ frame.
